It’s Whale Watching Season!
Each year approximately 4,500 Hawaiian Humpbacks migrate over 3,500 miles from Alaska to breed, give birth, and bask in the warm waters of Hawaii. The Hawaiian Word for whale is Kohola & these Kohola can weigh up to an amazing 45 tons! These whales can typically be seen from late November to late May, where they usually stay in Hawaiian waters for about 6-8 weeks before heading back to Alaska. So grab your binoculars & keep a lookout for them breaching out of the water and for their water spouts!

Tour Description-
Customer pickup time is between 8:00-8:30am in Waikiki (depending on hotel location). After pick-up you will be transported to our office in Hawaii Kai (estimated arrival- 9:15am) where you will pick up your binocular rental, 1 free drink and 1 free snack per person. You will then be transported to Hanauma Bay and the Halona Blowhole (which is on the way to Makapuu Hike) where you may take pictures of the famous landmarks. Arrival at Makapuu Trail with a HOP guide is at 9:45am. This is a safe and easy hike and will only take about an hour and a half. You will be whale watching during the hike. We will then pick you up at 11:15 am and will be back Waikiki by approximately 12:30.
Tour Itinerary:
8:00 Waikiki Hotel Pick-Up
9:15 Arrive at Hawaiian Ocean Promotions rental shop
～ After rentals are picked up, Head to Makapu’u Trail: Stop at Hanauma Bay, Stop at Halona Blowhole, Drive thru Sandy Beach～
9:45 Arrive at Makapu’u Trail
11:15 Depart From Makapu’u Trail & Return back to Hawaiian Ocean Promotions 12:00 Departure From Hawaiian Ocean Promotions
** This tour will be available everyday except on the following days: Every Tuesday( Hanauma Bay is closed on Tuesdays), December 11(due to Honolulu Marathon), December 25 (Christmas Day) & January 1st(New Year’s day)
